I am a police officer and my friend who also works LAPD was on duty when the emergency call came out
about a "animal cruelty/citizen following a trailer filled with dogs".

Some of this is private and I ask that you not share certain things. Anyhow to make a long story
short, I was at the South Los Angeles Shelter when the dogs were brought to the evidence area.
First I just want to thank you very much for the support and kindness everyone has shown. Gentle Piglet seemed to have touched a lot of people as she did me, and my eternal gratitude and thank you goes to everyone who cross-posted, donated, and emailed their words of support, it meant so much.
As we were walking past the cages to get to another dog, the sad, yearning look on this dog's face stopped me in my tracks.
"Very sad, she has already been networked with no response, she is out of time," Robin told me.
I had to stop as this dog mushed her face as hard as she could against the bars just so she could make some contact with me. The look on her face, the desperate need for love and warmth were truly heartbreaking.
