I had always loved animals as a child, I felt a connection and an empathy for them. When I became a police officer in a high-crime, low income area of Los Angeles my heart would break at the sight of all the strays, injured and sick and frightened...
Animals are the most loyal beings to roam the earth. Too many animals are stuck living in shelters which have awful living conditions. No animal deserves to live scared and alone for a couple months before they get killed if they aren’t adopted...
A few stories about the animals we've helped find forever homes for...
I was contacted by the rescue coordinator at one of our city shelters because they got a pig in as a stray running down Hollywood Blvd [!!!!] and they were not set up for that, and they did not want to kill him nor did they want some unscrupulous "adopter" to slaughter for food. She thought of me because I have worked with them for many years and in the past I have helped other "farm" animals, including two baby goats who were already ear tagged for slaughter but who either escaped or were rejected because they had mange. [They were the cutest sweetest little creatures and I found them the best home in Malibu with a lady who has them wearing little sweaters when the weather is cold]. I live in the city and could not keep but thought of my friend in Arizona who has a farm. VIDEO: https://youtu.be/6q7jsyS5LyA
